The new Border Target Operating Model will require technological and process changes at the border. The new Sanitary and Phytosanitary model will be phased in over time, from 31 January 2024 sample documentary checks on medium risk goods from the EU will commence. Traders will need to make a prenotification via the IPAFFS system and upload PDF versions of digitally signed Export Health Certificates.
