Products of animal origin must be presented at a designated border control post and prior notification must be made using a CHED-P which must be submitted to the border control post via IPAFFS.
Supporting documents such as an official health certificate or commercial documentation such as invoice, bill of lading, packing list, must be uploaded onto the IPAFFS entry for the CHED-P using the secure link below.

A composite product is defined in legislation as a ‘foodstuff intended for human consumption that contains both processed products of animal origin and products of plant origin and includes those where the processing of primary product is an integral part of the production of the final product’.
Commission Decision 2007/275/EC (as amended) sets out import conditions composite products from non-GB countries.
